Hi, I’m Laura!
Disney has been part of our family for a long time. I’ve visited Disney about 15 times, including 12 family trips with my children, from the time they were infants and toddlers through the tween and teenage years, and now as adults. And these days, I get to experience it all over again with my grandchildren. In fact, I’ve taken three Disney trips with my grandkids in the last year alone.
Some of my favorite family memories have happened at Disney. One that I’ll always remember was a stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge when my son was five. At the time, he wanted to be a zookeeper, and one morning we woke up to a giraffe just outside our balcony! He was absolutely thrilled. It’s one of those little moments that’s stuck with me all these years and that our family still talks about.
We’ve experienced Disney in just about every way you can as a family. We’ve traveled with just two people and with extended family groups of more than 12. We’ve stayed at resorts at every level, traveled with infants, toddlers, kids, teenagers, adults and grandparents, and learned along the way that every Disney trip is a little different.
My daughter has grown up loving Disney and travel, too, and it’s something we still enjoy together. In many ways, that’s where the name Growing Up With Magic Travel comes from. My children really did grow up with Disney, and now we’re getting to watch another generation experience it.
I started Growing Up With Magic Travel because I wanted to use all of that experience to help other families plan their own trips. Disney vacations can feel like a lot: resorts, dining, parks, transportation and a million little decisions. You shouldn’t have to figure all of it out on your own.
That’s where I come in. I’ll help you plan the details, make sense of the options and create a trip that works for your family, so you can focus on the part that really matters: experiencing it with the people you love.
Because years from now, you probably won’t remember every reservation you made or every detail you planned. You’ll remember the look on your child’s face when they saw Cinderella Castle for the first time. You’ll remember the family laughing together after a long day in the parks. You’ll remember the completely unexpected moment, like waking up to a giraffe outside your balcony, that becomes part of your family’s story.
